We're bad kpop stans but good fans. The quiet majority of ahgases are older and bc of that we do well when it comes to buying goods(if they're in stock) and paying for events which is what helps keep them as a top earner even though we aren't as good at voting and streaming https://twitter.com/cltbeom/status/1339361867249057794
So like we're bad at the numbers that don't actually do anything be it bc we're lazy or busy with adult life or whatever, but when it comes to the things that bring in money and show real life tangible support we're there. A popular song can top charts and still not fill seats.
I also think it has to do with how the majority of the fandom is international even more so than other groups and we're all like why tf should we have to stream a song on repeat for dumb numbers that makes the numbers meaningless anyway can't we just listen when we want to listen
Basically we're old and buy less into the kpop ranking systems but we love Got7's music so we try. And some really are very dedicated and others openly bitch but still try because we know it unfortunately matters in the industry even though the results are always inaccurate
I have a hard time thinking 100 views per 1 person per week x 5000 people still gives results that actually mean anything and when I look at my life and responsibilities those fake numbers just doesn't take priority. I try but like. I'm not going to sacrifice for it tf.
This is about birds not igot7s there are no positive takes on them
