Please allow me to vent for a moment. As I've shared before, we have been trying to conceive for over a year. This process has sucked for a multitude of reasons. It has been physically, emotionally, and financially draining. We are in the process of moving from IUI to IVF.
This transition brings new complexities and costs. For a lot of reasons, we've agreed to do pre-implantation genetic testing. This will be a minimum of $2500 up-front. I mentioned this to someone today, and their response was to ask if I would consider carrying.
If you know a couple where both people have uteruses and only one is undergoing fertility treatment and it's been unsuccessful so far, please, for the love of god, do not ask this question. Also, do not follow up with questions about or RECOMMENDATIONS to move to adoption.
Our uteruses are not interchangeable. We bought $10k worth of sperm that closely matches my ethnicity. I'm non-binary and have a slew of gender dysphoria shit. I do not want to be pregnant. @jessjacks does. Period. We've ONLY been trying for a year. It's not time to give up.
You would never do this to a straight couple. YOU WOULD NEVER DO THIS TO A STRAIGHT COUPLE! DON'T DO THIS. GRAAAHHHH!!!
