Was thinking back on my work on Dial H for Hero, so here’s a look at a slew of the hero transformations Sam Humphries, Jordan Gibson and I crammed into this love letter to comics. First up, THE 90’s

Bruce Timm! Daniel Clowes! Alex Ross, and just whole bunch this issue.
Chris Ware! Alex Toth! And an 80’s animation pastiche!
Windsor McCay! Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez and a pastiche of the 90’s Supermen by way of Glen Murukami, Dan Jurgens, and Bill Sienkiewicz
King Kirby! 80’s anime/Otomo and some papercraft in the style of Chris Ware! (Not sure if anyone ever made the phone, but it works. You can)
A “Mad Fold-in” homage to the late, great Al Jaffee!, More Alex Ross, Norman Rockwell and a double page spread of an ‘uncut’ sheet of DC comics trading cards that never were.
And more! If it missed you the first time, I hope you’ll seek this out and give it a read. Sam and Jordan and I really tried to underscore and celebrate our love of the medium throughout.
