the way cis men and trans men are emasculated is so extremely different from each other and i feel like thats a good conversation to have
for example someone like harry styles wears a dress and gets emasculated by a bunch of conservatives- OBVIOUSLY that’s a bad thing but he can make the “bring back manly men” jokes and let it roll off his back because hes still percieved as a man
trans men wear a dress and get emasculated in a way that takes away every bit of our maleness in ways that affect our real lives- we can be denied medical transitions by therapists because of shit like this
the emasculation of trans men isnt just “oh ur not manly enough” or “oh REAL men dont do that” its more “i knew you were faking being a man” and “you wearing a dress means you’re actually a cis girl” and its scary- fully percieved as women in a way that cis men arent
