so ive been thinking

i see that we’re all in a general consensus that richie is a better gift-wrapper than eddie. i feel like richie is also the better cook when it comes to cooking meals on christmas

but eddie needs his own thing. i think its decorating christmas cookies (1/5)

richie knows the exact tweaks he needs to make to the cookie recipe to have them turn out just right, but once theyre baked, eddie takes the lead. he loves mixing food coloring into homemade frosting and making all of these new colors. and just making a huge mess in general (2/5)

but once eddie has his colors made (which consists of the entire rainbow) hes super precise with his decorating. every layer of frosting is perfectly spread, some with fancy patterns drawn in with toothpicks. he loves to use little candies for eyes/buttons/other features (3/5)

eddie gets absorbed in his work, leaning super close to the counter, tongue sticking out as he goes. richies there too. he decorates a few but he mostly just likes watching eddie (and eating all of the “duds” that eddie fucks up and doesnt deem worthy of their friends eyes) (4/5)

when richie walks away, eddie hastily decorates a few larger cookies he made special for richie. he adds double the frosting and candies before tossing them into a container labeled “for richie only.” he hides it until christmas morning and they split the entire container (5/5)
