this is just on my mind today but if you have to perceive someone's character as sweet or kind in some exceptional way contrary to their actual personality in order to enjoy them, then you don't actually like that character.
some of us like to play characters who don't fit that bill. we play them for that reason.
if you choose to intentionally perceive them differently, then you aren't respecting the creator's choice.

i would say the amount of people who have characters on the opposite of the spectrum outnumbers those who choose to play up this particular brand ™.
