so heres the thing, and i’m about to go on a very angry fat girl rant here
quackity’s merch was released today, and it only goes up to an xl for sizing. this means that i, a plus-sized person, cannot purchase quackitys merch. this made me feel like absolute shit and i have some things to say about size inclusivity
quackity is not the only one who has limited sizing, many many many other merch stores only have size ranges that go up to 2x, while this is an improvement, size inclusivity to me is size ranging up to 4x or 5x and that’s that
quackity’s merch being up to xl stung for me mostly bc i was very excited to purchase it and i was willing to spend the $50 dollars on it, but i couldn’t, i was excluded, i was left out, why? i’m used to not having many options, i’m used to not being able to buy things from
certain stores, but most of the time i can get away with merch. to see this really hurt me and many others. i 100% understand that this is the company most likely and other merch stores are like this as well, i see you all doing the bare minimum!!
but there are plenty of merch creators and companies who are willing to do size-inclusive branding, why aren’t you working with them? i know contracts and pricing are hard to negotiate, but it can’t be that hard to find companies who will provide you with a size-inclusive range
fat fans deserve merch too! we deserve to be included too! i’m so tired of being left out of things bc of my size, or having to settle for a hat or sticker bc of my size. i’m tired of feeling left out and like i’m not allowed to rep my faves bc their merch doesn’t come big
so, quackity, i please ask you to expand your sizing, talk to your company, please, and all other merch brands too...it’s not enough to just throw xl on there and think you’re being inclusive. please, do better.
