Here's something fun: @GetUp commissioned research that went through more than 8,600 News Corp articles about climate change - every article between April 2019 and March 2020.

Some of the more interesting findings were:
- 45% of all News Corp climate coverage - news, editorial, opinion, features and letters - expressed scepticism

- Of the 55% of stories that accepted the science, there was negligible reporting of CC facts and impacts

- Scientists were 6% of sources. Political figures were 47%
- In the space of a year, Andrew Bolt accounted for 12% of all climate coverage across the Herald Sun, The Daily Telegraph, and Courier Mail combined, with 405 articles

- Just 0.2% of stories - about 11 out of more than 8,600 - quoted First Nations sources.
- Just 24% of all sources across CC stories were women

- News Corp is more than twice as likely to quote a politician than a scientist on climate change topics

- Items discussing climate policies were more than twice as likely to be negative (57%) than positive (27%)
- Nearly two-thirds (65%) of opinion pieces were
sceptical towards climate science

- News Corp's top ten opinion writers accounted
for 44% of their opinion content, all of whom are either sceptics or oppose climate policies
