i also know in my heart of hearts that if i promoted my band as a trans/queer-fronted band we would get a lot more attention. i don't because i think that sucks. it hurts my heart

btw you may notice that we don't publish identity-based stories unless it is EXPLICITLY something the artist wants to talk about on their own terms. a lot of this is about chasing very shallow identity-based press coverage and i don't want to contribute to that
