Watching the A22 and I found myself really enjoying breaking down some of the Bears RPOs that really elevated this offense.
Want to dive in a bit deeper into how these work? Five film examples in the thread.

Not an RPO but I tossed it in here just to show how a well executed zone read (aka read option) works.
Simple, don’t block the right end. Read him, so the whole line can zone block left. This lets you have an extra guy in Bars to get to the Mike backer. Watt stays home, give.

First RPO here. Few things to remember and keep in mind. Presnap motion away from the defender being read. Don’t block 41 and run the slot WR on a glance/slant right behind him. Make him pick between playing the run aggressively & giving an easy window, or giving an extra blocker
This is a variant of a box alert RPO. No unblocked guy to read postsnap instead the read is presnap. 6 guys in the box means 3v2 on outside. 1v1 tight cushion on solo side. Important to see D is in 2 high shell.
6 man box means no to run, so it’s a throw. 2 high, hit the bubble

Very next O play. Look familiar to the TD? Exact same look, but this time HOU is in single high. Still a 6 man box so no to the run.
Because of this, Mitch hits the out on the other side. Reason is single high means trips side has an “alley defender” going hard to bubble.

Remember the first RPO we looked at? This is the exact same thing but I wanted to show it from a different angle showing WRs and shell. Harder to see but exact same look. Motion away from “read key” defender. He plays run aggressively. Hit the glance and YAC it up.
