I have defended Bush Jr to the detriment of my credibility. And while I don't agree he is some sort of theocratic monster, I think he's another rich elite playing a political game. His involvement now when he would not speak up against Trump speaks volumes.

If it had been some sort of princpled "It's just not appropriate for me to involve myself in US politics anymore as a former President" thing I could respect that. Clearly not.
