#ChristmasinSchools Thread #primaryrocks

This is an amazing time in schools and it has been amazing to see what schools have done for their children. It shows how much they care for their learners and communities.

It is also an important time of the school year for learning.
When I see the cards and calendars by the likes of @Teacherglitter and @DeputyPeake is a joy. Why do we need to do them? Well of course, if planned well it can easily result in some of the best DT or Art that those kids will produce. But there is more...
Many of us work in challenging backgrounds so the cards, tree decorations, and calendars are the only gifts some of our children can give their loved ones. And they will burst with pride when they do.
My daughter, now at secondary school, cringes at the ones on our tree but they are the ones that will always have a place on our tree. Hopefully one day her children will point at them and ask who made it and I can tell them about how hard their mum worked to make us smile.
#nativity is also an important aspect of learning during Christmas. If done well, then the children become experts on the subject while developing confidence speaking in front of others. Singing and acting in primary is the base that UK performance art is built on.
So please all enjoy your end of term and have a bloody brilliant Christmas everyone.
