The failure of Republicans to argue make the particular case about corruption in the 2020 election is due to the fact that many in that quarter are submerged in just as deep and brazen denial about corruption *in general* as the Democrats are.
Corruption is always a part of any form of government, but good governments find ways of channeling it. But "bad" corruption (that doesn't ultimately lead to anything roughly resembling the common good) is now institutionalized throughout the nation. And elites are in denial.
Either leaders can't even recognize corruption as corruption (because it is the air they breathe) or they are too fearful to say and do anything because they know the consequences if one speaks from within such a system.
Take elections: in America, for decades now many states already face uphill legal battles and severe political opposition if they try to clean their voter rolls or, heaven forbid, require voter ID of some sensible kind. It's simply not allowed. The reason should be obvious, but:
Self-interested parties flood the zone with the message (by paying for "scholarship", among other things) that no fraud ever occurs and "democracy" requires insane practices that allow for fraud and other shady practices which all not-so-coincidentally lead to a one party system.
If Republicans can't even counter this sort of corruption of the vote, and haven't been able to for decades, how can they counter this on targeted steroids in 2020? The answer is: they can't, or won't.
For rest of us, there are two solutions:

1) Bold & bracing reforms in red & purple states that defy SCOTUS & make the issue a national part of the party platform w/o being scared off by the usual cries of "Democracy!" & "Racism!"

2) Start playing the same games the Ds do.
But in this as in so many other issues, we need leaders who see the actual landscape and are willing to fight to call it out and propose far bolder active solutions then anything we are used to seeing. Is this likely? Dunno. But millions of Americans will back the play.
