I'm conflicted about people saying the accents in #Cyberpunk2077
are racist. I know people from different cultures don't -have- to have accents, but many of them are voiced by people representing those cultures. How can you expect a Japanese native not to have a Japanese accent?

Yes, other things may be a problem. The accents aren't. If you have an accent, you can still be a voice actor.
Like this guy. Rome Kanda. Huge hit in Japan; minor hit in America. He's a voice actor for one of the main characters, and he's dang good at it. Should he not have been chosen because he has an accent?
Or how about Hideo Kimura, one of the other voice actors? I actually can't find a video of him speaking English; this appears to be his first major role. Is it racist to cast him as a Japanese character because he has an accent?
