The “Puzzling” Effect of Life

The Perplexing Cycle of Humanity.

Thread
Who here has taken the time to complete a puzzle?

I’ll be honest, during the first round of quarantine this was my wife and I’s form of entertainment.

It took much longer than anticipated thanks to our 2 year old daughter running around 😂
Puzzles are challenging.

It’s easy to see the image when you’re looking at the box but far more difficult to actualize it when looking at 1,000 scattered pieces.

It often gives a sense of confusion: “where do I begin?”

That leads me into the next segment.
Beginning a Puzzle:

You start with the 4 borders – unless you like doing it the hard way.

Why? Border pieces are easier to identify and locate.
Once you finalize the border you begin working from the outside in.

Borders give you leverage, they get the ball rolling.
And as you build off of that, it becomes much easier to categorize certain pieces and get into a rhythm.

The more you complete, the faster you begin to move.

Less pieces are available, again, furthering the progressive simplicity of a complicated task.
But this thread isn’t about puzzles, it’s about life.

You've made it this far, so let me explain.

To often we spend too much time “looking at the image” and attempting to replicate it from the middle out.

- It’s confusing.
- It’s multifaceted.
And it’s difficult to hone in on “where to go from here”.

And the reality is there’s a better/quicker way.

A way that provides more clarity & momentum.

And it begins with identifying your 4 borders and then completing them.
I identify my 4 borders as

1.Purpose
2.Personal Health
3.Relationships
4.Professional Success (Wealth)

Yours might differ slightly, but one thing remains constant:

- All 4 borders do not consist of “success”.

Rather, ¾ focus on WHO you are as opposed to WHAT you do.
Furthermore, you’ll execute more efficiently by leveraging the 3 borders of “who” you are to complete the 1 border of “what” you do more so than you will the other way around.

In fact, if all u did was begin with those 3 borders the 4th border of success would play itself out.
Some might call this a “life vision”

But I like to refer to it as “clarity”.

If you’re in a position that lacks clarity, or you’re not happy about your job, here is my advice:

Take a moment to slow down, or zoom out.
See the big picture – the image on the box.

Identify your borders.

And shift your focus to identifying your borders of “who” you desire to be and putting your attention there – get granular.

Eat, sleep, and breath this version of you.
Ask yourself, “how would this version of me handle this situation?”

And then execute… be that person.

As you do so, your actions will become more *aligned* with your inner purpose.

Thus, momentum will be gained and the 4th border of success will begin to reveal itself.
And when it does, you’ll be on a much more fulfilling path than the one you are on right now.

***That’s my promise to you.

Money-Twitter is a unique place where most are venturing to do their own thing, and I applaud you for this.
But with an astounding rate of >80% of employees disliking their job, and having this dissatisfaction bleed into other areas of life,

This is the Perplexing Cycle of Humanity.

Sending people down the rabbit-hole that leads to an >80% unhappiness success rate.

Flip the script.
So do me, and others, a favor by spreading this message with a RT.

It might just land on someones TL in when they need it most.
