LAVISKA SHENAULT IS A DYNASTY BUY (thread)
So far, it seem like "every" WR from the 2020 draft class has broken out aside from a few guys like Ruggs (he's not happening, sorry) and Reagor (injury and poor QB play/dysfunctional offense). Back to Shenault.. There's this sense that
he's a gadget player and won't ever put it together at the NFL level in any type of way that produces fantasy points. I'm here to show you a few stats, and to tell you to relax. It's really quite simple. Through 11 games, Shenault has a 42-441-2 line on 57 targets, with 15-92 on
the ground. Remember, he hurt his hamstring at the very start of his week 9 game for Houston and exited after only 10 snaps. His stat line in that game was 1 catch for -1 yards. What if that game didn't happen. We can excuse that game when looking at his per-game numbers and
projecting. If we remove that week 9 game where he exits in the first quarter, this is his stat line in the other 10 games he's played: 41-442-2 through the air, 15-92-0 on the ground. As a 16 game pace, that would translate to 66-707-3 receiving and 24-147 rushing. That's an 854
scrimmage yard pace in his rookie campaign. Wow. With so many 2020 guys having electric starts to their careers, it's as if people forgot about Shenault. Now, let's look at Shenault's teammate, DJ Chark. Chark exploded for a 73-1008-8 line last year in his breakout campaign. What
is Chark doing this year in JAX... Through 11 full games, he has a 45-591-4 line. Translate that to a 16 game pace, and Chark is set up for 860 yards this season. Um, what?! Shenault, as we just talked about is on pace for 854 yards based on his full-game pace across 16 games. So
essentially, 22 year old rookie gadget player Laviska Shenault is producing similarly to 24 year old DJ Chark in his 3rd season, on a per-game basis. Looks like there may be a changing of the guard next year at the WR position in JAX. The other piece of this is the QB carousel
he's suffered through, and the bad JAX offense (which caps his TDs). JAX should have the #2 pick in the draft next year after the NYJ, and it shouldn't surprise anyone if they take a guy like Justin Fields. Imagine Shenault (who is on an 850 yard pace if we remove the 1 game he
didn't really play in) paired with an actually good NFL QB. Wheels up 🚀

Laviska Shenault is a BUY in dynasty, and is putting together a fine rookie campaign.

I'll leave you with Shenault's 36 yard reception from week 7, where you can get a taste of his elite YAC ability.
Curious your thoughts on him if you’ve watched any tape on him this year @Matty_S2S
