1/4 On Sunday 4th Oct NPHET met and recommended an immediate move to L5 lockdown. Positive detections at labs was growing at 21% every 5 days then, it is above that today with 24% growth over the last 5 days. The inflection in the curve is more pronounced now than in Oct
2/4 Our base level of positive detections is slightly lower today than in early October, but that can erode quickly over roughly the next 4 days. The pattern that resulted in the L5 call in October may hit before the weekend is over.
3/4 Infections reported today were transmitted about 1 week ago; if the current trend holds the numbers of positive detections will escalate sharply over the week leading into the Christmas break.
Those with positive detections now are expected to isolate through to New Year.

4/4 With the wide movement of people, it is more critical now than in October to stick to the tips to impede transmission:
Wash hands
Wear your mask
Practice cough & sneeze etiquette
Keep your distance and avoid crowds
Ventilate well
Take care.

Take care.
