I personally feel like ppl internalize a lot of negative narratives so much to the point that it’ll always be true to them regardless of if they’re given examples to show them otherwise.
for example, whenever i see someone say “no girls/guys ever want to be just my friend.”
i feel like it’s true but not ENTIRELY true. like sometimes you get so use to ppl hitting on/having false intentions that ppl actually wanting to be your friend won’t register correctly.

or even “niggas/bitches aint shit.” PEOPLE in general aint shit. and while everyone does have their own experiences, i’ve seen a lot of good ppl get fucked over because said person is so use to “aint shit” that the good person in front of them is boring to them.
like there’s so many ppl who get online and basically preach “everyone else is the problem, not me.” and those are ppl i stay away from. cause no one is perfect and while i don’t expect you to tell yourself, acting as if you’ve never played a role is worse.
me for example, i used to write “i have no friends, i need new friends.” when in actuality, i did have friends but i was in a negative space where i didn’t see them as such. now i don’t dare write that shit anymore cause it ain’t true and i love my friends.
in lack of better words, the world is a bad place. BUT. we all have a choice to whether we LET it be a bad place for us or not. and we also have a choice to whether or not we want to be a bad person in this bad world as well. You just have to really want that shit.
