In January, we teamed up with @HallettGroup and @OceanPlastic_IC to convene Imperial academics and government officials trying to solve the plastics problem. We met again in June to build on our progress. (2/11) https://www.imperial.ac.uk/news/195154/policy-academic-leaders-debate-future-plastics/
In February, @GuillermoRein and colleagues talked to policymakers from @LDN_gov, @mhclg and others at a workshop on city fires and how we can reduce their likelihood and consequences. (3/11)

In April and Mary, we hosted our first online Forum events, on water management and circular economy respectively. In June, @nvanzalk and @DashaNicholls took part in a panel discussion on social media and online harms.

In July, we teamed up with @reformthinktank to deliver a policy hackathon on bringing more data-driven innovations into healthcare.

In September, we launched @ImperialTZP, our initiative to realise Imperial’s vision of a sustainable zero pollution future. Speakers included Mary Robinson, @baroness_brown & @MikeBernersLee.

In October, three of our academics including @audreydenazelle and @TransEnvLab_IC briefed members of @UKHouseofLords on #airquality issues to help scrutinise and improve the Environment Bill.

Throughout the year, over 100 Imperial academics joined our policy engagement seminars, where we supported them with tools and tips on engaging with policymakers.
