reminder: Apple is not preventing anyone from doing anything, they are simply telling them to ask permission to track and to disclose what data is collected. https://twitter.com/verge/status/1339190756020457472
if you see “needing to ask permission first” as a threat to your business, it may be a good moment to reflect upon the nature of your business, rather than lash out at the people saying “hey we would like you to get permission before doing what you do”
I would like to know what small business is only able to make sales if, and only if, they are allowed to follow you around everywhere you go on the internet to tell you to buy their thing. https://twitter.com/kurtwagner8/status/1339220297858183169
pretty simple: Facebook (“Graph”) SDK inside of apps sending IDFA could associate activity in that app with your profile.
they did this with their Onavo VPN, even hiding the “Graph” connections within the VPN tunnel as I recall.
but sure, it’s all about the small businesses.
