Looks like we have a director debut for this guy.He was credited as “Assistant Episode Director” on episode 23 of Dororo. That episode was very sakuga heavy so let’s see how it goes. And it seems like he has some help on storyboarding

We FINALLY HAVE some work from Hayashi! Hayashi as you know is the main director of the series. He’s a very talented storyboarder and cares a lot about the source material that he’s working on. Chief Animation Director: Daisuke Niinuma
I AM REALLY SURPRISED TO SEE HIM AGAIN. Four episodes and he’s been a chief animation director. I’m surprised that we haven’t seen a change yet. This is strangely good because this means again more consistency within the character designs

AD: Masahiko Komino
THIS ONE IS AWESOME! He’s Character designer for JOJO! He designed the characters for JOJO Stardust Crusaders. He seems to be again a very experienced animation director having a well known animator from Jojo to AOT is very cool.Will we get a jojo reference

AD: Atsushi Aono
Very experienced animator. He’s been in countless productions especially involved in classic anime. I found a cut by him and Seji Muta. He’s been credited in many animation director roles for shows such as Death Note. Overall a very experienced animation director

Couldn’t find any actual Sakuga cuts done by them but there are some noticeable roles. They mainly mainly key animation roles. They also have been an animation director for God of Highschool for episodes 4 and 8. As you know GOH was a sakuga heavy show.

Interesting enough he’s done Key Animation before for AOT on episode 2 of the first season. Other than that he’s had animation direction roles for GOH (2,4) and was a main key component on monster.

Thanks for reading guys it’s good to see some who want these weekly. I feel like this episode will be good and interesting. There hasn’t been a crazy amount of ADs yet so far the production seems good? Overall the staff at MAPPA and Hayashi has been doing really good on AOT!
