Tonight's convo: It is trust that must be earned, not respect. There is a difference between respect and trust. Respect should not be earned. Respect must be given. because everyone deserves it. It is trust that must be earned. For example:

I will talk to a person i just met in a civil, respectful manner (respect) but of course i won't give them my wallet (trust). Get the point? See how respect should be a basic thing?

Another example: a transman is being disrespectful to a friend of mine. i will still use his pronouns which are he/him (respect) but i won't tell him my secrets and what i think about things (trust). See? Respect must be a given, trust is earned. See next tweet:
