Most people under 30 have never had what is necessary to engaged in negotiation (leverage, interpersonal intelligence, skills) https://twitter.com/acczibit/status/1339220618059919367
Women don't like to negotiate, sure, probably. But the bigger effect is every young person growing up under ZSHC where getting a spot is the goal, not having the best position in your spot, you're jumping ship next semester, next year, 2 years max. Why risk it?
If someone is exhausted from getting across the finish line, and had to crawl over a pile of bodies to get there, and is probably going to jump ship after the get enough of your clout, why would they haggle you over a couple bucks/an extra WFH day?
No family/ mortgage for 95% of the go getters until their ?-ties, so they're not even really needing the extra couple grand a year, better chance of getting laid from your brand association than whatever you were able to negotiate could buy you, at least right after collitch
