Great pod @spittinchiclets @ryanwhitney6 @BizNasty2point0 @MikeGrinnell_ @RearAdBsBlog got me thinking of a story about @WojtekWolski86 and myself. It was back when I was a rookie playing for @OakvilleBlades as a 16 year old. Wojtek was playing as a 15 year old for @stmbuzzers

We had a stud on our team as well Evan Mcgrath who was also a 15 year old playing with us. These 2 were studs, mind you I had only ever heard of Wolski, never saw him play, as this was before you tube and social media.

So anyways there was a prospect game or rookie allstar game that was happening. SO basically if you are a rookie in the @OJHLOfficial you play in this game. At this point in the season McGrath is lighting our division up as a 15 year old playing against men

So is @WojtekWolski86 in the other division. Anyways back to the prospects game. I show up and guys start introducing themselves, you know "I play here, nice to meet you " all good things. But when they found out I play for the Blades

Everyone wants to know, "who is better Wolski or McGrath?". Well by this time theres a group of us talking and guys keep asking. So obviously at 16 I know everything, plus I'm the ultimate team guy.

I just start pumping Evan's tires "the kid is sick, faster then a train, hands of gold" you know just blowing him up. 1 guy ask well what about @WojtekWolski86 ? Again I have NEVER seen him play before.

So I just start ripping him, "I hear he's soft, not a great skater, hands of stone, He's garbage" The boys are mesmerized at this point so I keep throwing some fuel on the fire, more chirps about someone I don't even know.

I finally run out of things to say, So I turn to grab my gear and now there is a new prospect in the room, haven't met him yet. "Nice to meet you I'm Paul" Kid replies "Hi, I'm Wojtek!" @WojtekWolski86 was standing right behind me basically the whole time.

As I just shrivelled him none stop to guys I didn't know. Anyways, he took it like a champ and probably knew he was going to the show and I wasn't, plus he saw me just throw it off the glass all night in a prospects game.

Everytime I would see @WojtekWolski86 play I always thought of this story and how I'm a donkey. Him and Evan Mcgrath both had great pro careers, I just feel lucky I got to share the ice with them. That is #storytime with Paul Dawson
