Debunking the Myth that Kyle Lowry is a "Playoff Choker" (a thread)

Starting with the 2013-14 Season.

Regular Season Averages- 18-7-5 on 42% shooting.

Playoffs- (7 game series loss to Brooklyn)
21-5-5 on 40% shooting.

Game 5- 36 points and 6 assists
Game 7- 28 points and 7 rebounds

Clutch Shooting:
6-8 (75 FG%)
Now, his next two playoff series are where I think the "playoff choker" narrative started.

In the 2014-15 and 2015-16 First rounds collectively (11 games), Lowry averaged just 13 and 7 on awful 32% shooting.
One thing that is important to remember, is that one or two bad series, or an 11 game stretch, does not make you a playoff choker.
Even some of the best playoff performers of all time, like LeBron James and Kobe Bryant have had bad playoff series or stretches.
Lowry struggled in the 2016 First round, but that was not the case for the rest of that run

2016
Reg Season Averages- 21-6-5 on 43% shooting.
ECSF AND ECF Averages- 22-5-5 on 43% shooting.

That run included FIVE 30+ point performances and a game tying halfcourt buzzer beater
Now, in the 2017 playoffs Lowry was dealing with a wrist injury, and missed two games because of it.

2017.

Reg Season- 22-7-5 on 46% shooting
P/offs- 16-6-5 on 46% shooting

50% Clutch shooting

The PPG dropoff isn't great, but all things considered this was far from a choke.
2017-18 Season

Reg Season Averages- 16-7-6 on 43% shooting.

Playoff Averages- 17-9-4 on 51% shooting.

One of his better playoff runs of his career, also shot 50% in the clutch these playoffs.
2018-19

Reg Season averages- 14-9-5 on 41% shooting.
Playoffs Averages- 15-7-5 on 44% shooting.

After starting the playoffs with probably the worst game of his career, the playoff choker narrative started coming back. Lowry proceeded to end that as soon as it started.
After the horrible Game 1, Lowry averaged 14 and 9 on 51% shooting over the rest of the first round VS the Magic.

In the second round he struggled slightly, averaging 13 and 6 on 40% shooting.
After a mediocre second round, he bounced back in the ECF vs Milwaukee, averaging 19-6-5 on 51% shooting for the series, and was the best clutch shooter for Toronto in the series, helping clinch the Raptors first finals appearance in Franchise history.
In his first NBA Finals, and the first in franchise history, the greatest Raptor ever did NOT disappoint.
Averaging 16-7-4 on 43% shooting including a 26-7-10 performance in the Title-Clinching Game 6.

Lowry shot 57% overall for the playoffs.
2019-20 Season

Reg Season Averages- 19-8-5 on 42% shooting.

Playoffs- 18-7-6 on 42% shooting including a CLUTCH 33-8-6 performance in Game 6 facing elimination VS the Celtics
CONCLUSION

Kyle Lowry Career Averages with Raptors:
18-7-5 on 42% shooting.

Kyle Lowry Career Playoff Averages with Raptors:
17-6-5 on 42% shooting.

The fact that some people still believe this man is a "playoff choker" genuinely shocks me.
