Deutsche Telekom own & control T-Mobile in the U.S. Most Americans don't know T-Mobile is a global brand for Deutsche Telekom. At the beginning of this year they successfully lobbied to be allowed to take over Sprint in the U.S. positioning them to become the largest U.S. carrier

I cannot understand how Deutsche Telekom were allowed to shrink the number of major U.S. carriers from 4 down to 3 in what is already one of the most expensive wireless service markets in the world. It was already an oligopoly, with the takeover it became a cartel.

Deutsche Telekom were able to achieve this U.S. takeover despite the fact it was widely known (I & many others posted about it regularly) that Deutsche Telekom was the biggest promoter of Huawei 5G in Europe, their home market. A lynchpin for Huawei & Beijing's global 5G plans.
