To this, it makes me happy and feel better for a good enough time to keep me going.

Winx is bright and colorful for a reason so this sudden need to make it dark and foggy just doesn't work, on top of looking depressing as hell. The melodramanessnessness of it doesn't work and this isn't to say that I don't LIKE movies with more serious tones or atmospheres but-
-I can only take so much before it slogs me down. Sometimes, people need an escape and sometimes that escape can come in the form of something with, cough, good color direction and a more light hearted tone to it.
I really don't know who the fuck the people in charge of this reboot are trying to fool really. They just don't want to look 'childish' since there are people who really think colors, bright ones, are for children.
