stop using tw // food or cw // food - an important thread
tw // means trigger warning
cw // means content warning

neither of these are right to use when talking about food as tw // or cw // might trigger someone regardless of using cw // instead (which to me personally doesn’t make it any better) and is just as harmful
tw or cw should no longer be the norm when talking about food either as the association of the word ‘warning’ reminds people with ed that food is something to avoid, it’s triggering and every time i see tw // food or cw // food i subconsciously feel worse about my situation
as someone with an eating disorder seeing the words tw // food or cw // food is encouraging the idea that food should be seen as something to avoid, this can also influence other people without ed too which is just as damaging
what i think would be better is c //

what that would mean is just content, so when you want to talk about food it won’t be placed as a warning but a topic of discussion so c // food
let me know what y’all think as this is something i’ve been talking about amongst my friends for a really long time now and if you have any questions feel free to message me or ask me
so happy to see this working
someone has mentioned that if you’re talking about calories and very sensitive topics regarding food, then tw or cw are to be considered but what i am talking about is the casual conversation of food, which does NOT require either of these titles on a tweet
