One more reminder: I, like many others, am desperately trying to shop local this year. So ads, posts, anything that help me find great local places to support are things I'm really paying attention to. Let us know you're there.
Media stories that highlight local shops also good.
On this note, I discovered the Muckabout Gallery on East Hastings in Burnaby this weekend and it was delightful. Local artist cards, honey from my pal Jeff Lee's place in Creston, great baby T-shirts with cool crow designs, medicinal vinegar (?!), way more http://www.muckabout.ca/
To continue, I also discovered just this year a new little shop on Commercial near Flourist. Esthette Lifestyle, which has stuff I've never seen before in Vancouver -- some gorgeous Turkish and Italian wools, Turkish leather shoes, cotton scarves. https://www.esthette.com
And, I know this won't be news to many parents near Commercial, but I only discovered this year Dilly Dally, a fabulous kids' toy/activities shop. So many interesting wooden toys, dollhouse stuff, miniature thingies from Germany, etc., huge selection of games, stuffies.
