Because I think staying in hotels is the height of luxury and sophistication: what is a hotel that you would absolutely LOVE to stay at if cost was not an issue? Can be in your own city, somewhere else, whatever.
One of mine is definitely Mohonk Mountain House in upstate New York

I would also commit crimes to be able to stay at the Chateau Lake Louise
I didn’t stay in a hotel until I was 16, and then it was a motel near Upper Canada Village, so it all still holds a real mystique for me. In January we did a weekend at the Hotel X for 9yo’s birthday and it was a high point of this year. The indoor/outdoor all seasons pool!!!
I just think hotels are so exciting, I can’t even explain it. Sometimes especially when they’re in your own city. Like, true luxury to pay real cash dollars to sleep in a room even though you’re already paying rent for your apartment. And they’ll make the bed for you!
