[2/17 Curious Cat A]

few notes to keep in mind, may help with yo decision

-this is not a new danganronpa / zero escape. comparing WEC to those games in any way will miss the point of the game and will suck your enjoyment out.
[3/17 Curious Cat A]

-This game pulls a bait and switch in the 1st hour of the game. Don't let it fool you. its 1/20+ hours of the game. (and personally my least fav part)

-The characters are 12 year olds. Nothing creepy happens to them
[4/17 Curious Cat A]

-This is a simple, wholesome road trip game (personally provides me great comfort)

-The game doesn't take itself too seriously, think of a Saturday cartoon
[5/17 Curious Cat A]

-Though its more light hearted, it does have serious (and dark?) undertones (the longer I think about the kids, the more I feel sad for them)
[6/17 Curious Cat A]

-Though its a platforming game, its basic and you're playing more for the story. This game is more comparable to a visual novel than anything.
[7/17 Curious Cat A]

-The game is more linear, but does have alt routes and you cant go back. Chose the route you want to explore rather than what you think the game wants. You will be able to do the other routes after completing the first ending (and is highly recommended)
[8/17 Curious Cat A]

-The game currently has 2 endings. Theres no "bad end" and you need to see both of them

-There are plot twists, some predictable, some not

-The artstyle is real nice! Designed by a person on the pokemon sw/sh team!
[9/17 Curious Cat A]

-As of now, its only on iOS and is widely accepted by the fandom that its okay to watch playthroughs of it instead.
[10/17 Curious Cat A]

-The current ver. of the game is 80% or so complete. tho, if you enjoy cliffhangers and thinking of theories (like me), check it out now! If you rather have the entire thing off the bat, wait for the 2021 Spring switch release
[11/17 Curious Cat A]

-The game is currently fully voice acted in Japanese and its really good! Theres no eng voices yet, but it will be present in the switch release
[12/17 Curious Cat A]

-Remember, this is developed by a new studio and not by spikechunsoft. They dont have a big company to back them up

-Many people had troubles with touch screen controls. try using a controller if you can.

TL;DR This is not danganronpa / zero escape (dont compare WEC to them), its a wholesome, simple, road trip game with a Saturday cartoon feel. Despite the wholesomeness, there are sadder undertones to it. It has alternate paths that differ greatly from-
[14/17 Curious Cat A]

each other, but can be played after playing the ending. It has basic platforming gameplay, but you are playing more for the characters/story rather than it. It's practically a visual novel. Nothing creepy/sexual happens-
[15/17 Curious Cat A]

(there are a few remarks, but they're "kid appropriate...?" its few and far in between). The cast of chars are great and feel like kids. It currently has about 20+ hours of gameplay.
[16/17 Curious Cat A]

If you are looking for the next DR/ZE, WEC is not it. If you are looking for a game to brighten up your mood, not feel too sad playing, character-driven, and like reading, try giving it a shot!
[17/17 Curious Cat A]

personally, love the game a lot, but not everyone will enjoy it. its up to preference on what you seek in a game
[Extra Curious Cat A]

Forgot to add to the original response, if you are neurodivergent, you may love the game a ton. majority of my WEC moots are ND and we all see ourselves in these characters and its an extremely wonderful feeling!
to others who played/enjoyed the game, feel free to add more here!

Please don't put spoilers here though
