throughout my journey as a streamer there have been so many times where i felt outside of the "popular group" - never invited to the collabs - and if i approached them it was like high school all over again in the lunch room, asking to sit with the popular kids
ever since i stopped looking around at everyone else and trying to get them to accept me, or be friends with me, or "fit in" and i just started focusing on myself and what i enjoy creating, i've felt so much more free.
i stopped mindlessly scrolling through twitter, so i'm not hit with "fear of missing out" anymore. my focus and productivity i think have improved visibly.
i also find myself being much more innovative / unique, bc i'm not always keeping up with and replicating what's trendy.

i dont care if i'm one of the cool kids.
being a streamer for 5 years has shown me "clout chasing" and "social climbing" is a real thing. and that the friends you actually make rarely make a "show" of it on social media either.
i'm saying all of this because it feels SO good to let go of expectation of popularity, or certain individuals "noticing" you, or commenting on your posts.
honestly, influencers are like cats... if you give them too much attention, and chase them down, they get irritated and might start hissing.
but if you ignore them.... they come sit right in your lap
