It is still too expensive for frequent surveillance testing, though. I will continue to work w/public health experts & the FDA to find an approval pathway for even simpler, equally accurate home testing that is inexpensive & accessible enough to use every day or every other day.
Frequent testing catches infected people when they are contagious, and before they have symptoms, essentially stopping the spread of this disease. Imagine how safe our schools would be if every student tested at home every day or two. Stay tuned.
