/n This has been a very stressful year. I am a primary care doctor focusing on metabolic health. My duty is to evaluate and treat medical conditions while assessing risks and benefits for my patients. I can only act on the data presented to me. I research and watch testimonies
/n) from fellow physicians and scientists. In the early days of Covid a group of doctors including @richardursomd @stella_immanuel @drsimonegold @JamesTodaroMD stood up and gave testimony on their personal use of Hydroxychloroquine and success in patients. This drug has been
/n) used for over 50 years for malaria and autoimmune diseases. They presented data and studies. They were subsequently drawn through the mud by the "experts" and the media. The AMA warned physicians against using it and 2 completely fraudulent studies were published in Lancet
/n) and the New England Journal of Medicine --later retracted after the research of @JamesTodaroMD and team. Here is a link to Fauci's opinion:
/n) Does this testimony seem credible? (long but you can watch a couple of minutes of each Doc)
/n) Does this doctor have vested interest to you? If so, he is one hell of an actor and should play a doctor on TV.
/n) When facing a deadly illness, we have to make decisions based on our clinical experience after weighing the risks and benefits. I was afraid to use this medication because of this information: https://www.huffpost.com/entry/ama-president-trump-hydroxychloroquine_n_5e8a9914c5b6e7d76c663197
/n) I thought to myself, we have been using this drug worldwide for over 50 years for less serious illnesses and nobody raised a concern. Now at a lower dose for a few days it is killing everyone? Why isn't anyone concerned for the patients who have been on it for years and
/n) years without significant cardiac toxicity? Why were studies done in critically ill patients without adding Zinc as the doctors recommended? Why did the AMA change its stance and why did it take so long? Then I see this posted: https://covidcalltohumanity.org/ama-rescinds-statement-against-the-use-of-hcq-for-covid-19-treatment/
/15) I'm not an infectious disease expert but I trust people who have helplessly watched their patients die when they know they have a possible treatment.
I watched as these doctors lost their jobs and were ridiculed/mocked by the media when they were trying to save lives
I watched as these doctors lost their jobs and were ridiculed/mocked by the media when they were trying to save lives
/15) and share the information that they believed to be true. They had the courage to stand up for what they believed and I had no idea if they were legitimate or not. I could not risk my reputation by supporting them publicly. I reached out to 3 pharmacists whom I respect
/15) and asked their opinion. Each said that they agreed with the docs but that their pharmacies official policy was not to prescribe it for Covid (OK for other conditions). When I asked if anyone was prescribing it the answer was "Only for their friends and family
/15) because they are afraid of losing their licenses if they prescribe too much. They don't want to be flagged." A one week course would be denied but longer courses presumed for chronic disease would go through. Something is wrong when we can't trust the doctors on the front
/15) lines. Do we send soldiers to the front lines without guns because they could misfire sometimes? Doctors cannot be afraid to come forward if they see a treatment that is benefitting their patients. If you don't believe me,
/15) research the stories of @FructoseNo & @ProfTimNoakes. I won't give my opinion on who has vested interest, you have to decide for yourself. I'm just a primary care doc, but dragging doctors through the media circus may silence that doctor who could have saved your life.
