people keep acting like we're in afghanistan to win and that's simply not the case
the current mode of warfare the US military engages in is simply to maximize resource expenditure without looking like you're losing, it's a scam run by those who benefit from military expenditure
otherwise you would not have a ratio of 250,000 bullets per insurgent killed, that's simply ludicrous. the current war is optimized to make money for those who make the bullets, the planes, the tanks, the bombs.
if it was the case that we were in it to win we would have won. simple as that. we wouldn't consider prestige military technology like the V-22 Osprey and the Zumwalt-class of destroyers.
