As a nonprofit founder who basically is also a professional fundraiser, one thing I love about Mackenzie Bezos's giving is that her giving is public which further helps those orgs attract more resources.
My org has a donor that is just as well-known and wealthy, but likes to do their giving anonymously.

I pushed back on this and their staff does phone calls to other donors for their grantees. But, it's so much easier if your grantees can say on their own that you give.
So that's a message for the philanthropic-minded folks on my timeline: if you have a name that will help, work out a way that your grantees can use it.
Mackenzie Bezos's photo is going to be front-and-center in the fundraising deck of every development person at those orgs and I love it for them lol.
And I totally get reasons why some people would rather not have their name out in the open wrt their philanthropy, but this thread is just food for thought.
Last thought: some people might think wealthy people *should* give silently.

I don't agree—especially for the sake of those causes and orgs being able to attract more resources.

The nonprofit sector has a "rich get richer" problem. Visibility via donors helps.
