Welp, Cyclone #Yasa just rapidly intensified to a 135 knot beast
A closer look at #Yasa's mesmerizing eye and eyewall, with the stadium effect and all!
Cyclone #Yasa has continued to organize and intensify and is now a Category 5! Note the lightning in the eyewall, mostly clear eye and an even more distinct stadium effect than earlier. This has to be one of the most impressive satellite loops of the year!

is centered on the Fiji islands and yes, #Yasa is pointed right at them. A close pass or landfall is expected in ~36 hours but adverse conditions might begin shortly as the outer rainbands move through. More info: https://www.met.gov.fj

The sun has risen over #Fiji as well as Cyclone #Yasa, which is now slightly weaker but it's pretty much too late for them. Anyone on the islands will have to hunker down soon as it should move through tonight (local time).
