Nevadans have consistently shown a desire to move away from fossil fuels. We are grateful to all of our volunteers for weighing in on the process that led to the development of Nevada's Climate Strategy. #NevClimateAction
As the Nevada Climate Strategy suggests, there is a lot of work to be done. Read on to learn about the five climate solutions we are particularly excited about. #NevClimateAction
#1: Expediting the retirement of the remaining coal fleet in Nevada. #NevClimateAction
#2: Recommending a “smart from the start” strategy for new industrial-scale solar projects, which can help protect fragile wildlife and their habitats while promoting renewable energy. #NevClimateAction
#3: Transitioning from gas use in residential and commercial buildings, reducing our reliance on fossil fuels, and removing toxic emissions from our air. #NevClimateAction
#4: Adopting low- and zero-emissions vehicle standards, which are critical to address the state’s air quality crisis and meet greenhouse gas reduction goals. #NevClimateAction
#5: Implementing a state car allowance rebate system to provide access to electric vehicle technologies to all Nevadans. #NevClimateAction
