We had enough of this during both #MarRef & #Repealthe8th campaigns. We won both, but the harm caused to so many people by forcing them to endure a toxic & at times deeply dishonest debate about their lives & rights isn’t really understood. It was awful. Let’s stop doing that.

And don’t bother to @ me with your hot takes on ‘silencing dissent. Would you be ok with the human rights of gay people or of people of colour being put up for debate like this? Really?

I get that plenty of those who advance an anti-trans agenda would and have done so. And that speaks volumes.
