Just as Dr. Lipsitch said it would. Our fear is also causing harm. Those who are staying home to stop the spread, are in fact just removing themselves as targets. If at risk, this is good. If not, this is bad.

It is time to throw off fear for bravery.
It is time for those of us who are at low risk to be the shield for those who are at high risk, rather than a shield for incompetent politicians and medical bureaucrats.

We can't wait until the vaccine is widely available. Doing so will result in a full year of education lost for the bottom half of our country. It will result in tens of thousands more lives lost to despair. It will result in the permanent destruction of 10s of millions of jobs

We must stop allowing our public officials to visit this kind of harm upon our fellow citizens. The goal is wrong. We donât need to stop the spread, we need to stop it from spreading to the most vulnerable.
