When communicating science results that involve climate change, it feels like we've come a long way towards a better public understanding of climate change. BUT it's still tough to stomach the level of ignorance and hubris of those who comment on social media 2/4
One example is the comments on the Nelson Star Facebook post sharing an article covering my work. 400+ comments, and after reading a handful, I had to close it out and step outside. I know this is a poor sample of the general populace, but it's not easy to reconcile for me 3/4
I'm glad that there are so many good role models like @KHayhoe, @MichaelEMann, @ClimateOfGavin to just push on and focus on getting the message out and ignoring the trolls. And so many good resource like @skepticscience 4/4
