1/ In the interests of transparency:

People are trying to discredit what I’m saying because I contributed to articles about things like recycling and the BBC when I did two weeks work experience as part of the Stephen Lawrence scheme (set up by Doreen Lawrence)...
2/ ... in conjunction with the Mail in the aftermath of his racist murder

The scheme was set up to diversify journalism

If you’re angry with me for doing this - fine, I understand, that’s a valid criticism

But trying to act as if that is anything like what Corbyn...
3/ ... is doing with the Canary is brainworms

And, for what it’s worth, I know of other Black journalists that have participated in such schemes to have a hope in hell of getting into journalism to change the narrative

And I don’t judge them for it, this industry is impossible
4/ Training from schemes like this have given them a hope in hell of actually becoming a journalist in the first place

So criticise me all you like, I can take it - and I regularly call out the Daily Mail’s shit

But don’t try and use it to pretend what Corbyn is fine
5/ And if you want to damn me in perpetuity for two weeks work experience, fine - that’s your choice

But using it to try and bat away valid criticism of a politician is laughable
