Our ancestors treated sex with the utmost reverence, restricting it to the sacred ritual of marriage. We treat it as a commodity to be bought and sold like any other. This is a sign of terrible spiritual decline; the rise of the Kali Yuga and triumph of the merchant.
“Prostitutes used to exist” yeah no shit lol. But I doubt ever before prostitution has been so normalised, and marriages so rare.

Regardless of whether you agree with me, this is obviously what I meant. I wasn’t claiming prostitution was invented yesterday. Don’t be pedantic.
Also, I’m sure prostitution was more normalised in certain pagan civilisations, just as human sacrifice and infanticide were (though I doubt it could be *fully* normalised in any functioning society). But the context of my statement was obviously Christian Europe.
