In 1921 the Education Act set out the criteria for the allocation of Free School Meals. The introduction was disrupted by the impact of a miners strike. #greggs4good #storytelling

In Jan 2020 1.4 million children in the UK were eligible for free school meals. Analysis from @Food_Foundation estimate this figure has since grown by another 900,000 children.

As schools close for the holidays, community groups, volunteers, charities & local authorities are gearing up to support children & their families through the delivery of meals & food parcels. We work with 30 groups to provide them with food supplies. #greggs4good #storytelling
