So, some kind of big news for me - today I found out that I have been promoted to Associate Professor of Medicine @harvardmed

And to be married to the best person in the world - who just got promoted to Associate Professor of Medicine @harvardmed today as well! 2/n

Nearly 20 years ago - we took a leap of faith and matched together @BrighamMedRes - one of the first openly gay couples to match together. To be promoted today with her means more than I can ever say. We are in this every step of the way together. 3/n

Why promotion matters. It is about visibility as a women in medicine. Only 14% of our 12,000 faculty are Associate Professors and only 35% of those are women.
