...deceased people on FindAGrave. In my opinion, while FindAGrave is a wonderful resource, it can also be something that is used in some cases very promptly. I second @legalgen's point about a period of time allowed until FindAGrave memorials can be made for people. There.. [2/7]
...needs to be a period of time allowed for the family to mourn and honour their family members. I had made the mistake of doing something like this, I went for a day-trip and took photos of headstones and there was one that had passed away in May 2020. I had uploaded, not [3/7]
...thinking much of it at all, and then the following day, I was looking over what I had photographed (as some grave info was blocked) and was making notes of which ones I needed to re-do and then noticed the 2020 one. I instantly thought of the fact that this person could [4/7]
...potentially have passed away during the pandemic. I removed the memorial as a sign of respect and privacy. I then started thinking of the fact that some people that do this activity may not have been so reflective like I had. So personally, I think there needs to be some [5/7]
...change made to the policy of memorial creations. Another point that I had seen Judy (in a response to a reply on her tweet) make that I thought was a good idea (hope you don't mind me mentioning this @legalgen!) but asking people to tick a box confirming they are family. [6/7]
