Great to see Unions represented and speaking (purporting?) of their aims to support those of @MoreThanScore Wouldn't it be powerful if @RealGeoffBarton @PaulWhiteman6 @MaryBoustedNEU @cyclingkev all worked together on #DropSATs2021? In fact, why aren't they already working on it?
I realise @NAHTnews @NEUnion @ASCL_UK Have to use tact and diplomacy when dealing with the Ministers representing @educationgovuk but I think we've clearly established that said ministers don't have best interests of students as #1 Priority and won't listen to experts/evidence...

Parents and families trust schools - more so now than ever. HT's should be explaining to parents the facts and sharing their views - surely?! We know whats best for children's education and SAT's and other formal tests don't help anyone? Much better ways to be used...
Why does everyone speaking feel the need to avoid stating the obvious? @PaulWhiteman6 (Great - nice to hear you) The issue isn't that @GavinWilliamson and @NickGibbUK can't 'see the issues in front of them', its that they choose to ignore them. #DropSATs2021 is a great campaign..

Campaign focus is #DropSATs2021 - great, fully behind it, imagine most primary educators are, know most secondary prefer other assessment ( @TeacherTapp has shown this) and setting flight paths based on EXAMS (not tests) for 10 / 11 year old's is just stupid. However, 'tests'...

I'm fine with Ofsted, would like to see them one day each term, working with a cluster HT and then a formal 2 day inspection every 3 years - they'd know the school very well then - wouldn't be a potentially inaccurate view of schools, much like SAT's are of children's abilities..
Educators can work together to moderate against set criteria (as with KS2 writing) to give Secondaries more useful information for them, students and everyone. #DropSATs2021 just the start of the conversation... I think we as HT's, with LA's etc, can make this work in Summer 21

Teachers, educators, students and parent voice to get the best education for students of all ages. All this very annoying - don't get me started on lack of leadership and support from Gavla and Gibbo
