uh I hope nobody gets upset at me for this but I just have some criticism for both izu/ocha and baku/deku : I know a lot of the time people joke about izuocha being too bland but my biggest grievance against the ship is that I genuinely see Urarakaâs admiration for Deku as a hero
I.e constantly wanting to emulate him, comparing herself to him. all of this just looks like wanting to emulate Dekuâs style of saving - and itâs not a bad thing! But the key missing here is the intimacy that feeling lacks. She wants to be a hero that âsaves heroâ again not bad
But inherently it comes across as just wanting to learn from someone whoâs better than her at that field. This COULD be a valid argument for bk/dk as well - what with deku using moves from Bakugou all the time but the distinction for ME was apparent because of
the way they go about it. Deku isnât trying to be Bakugou entirely and is simply emulating him at a certain circumstance - and more than that I roginally believed Dk VS Bk 2 finally showed him Bakugouâs vulnerable side, so that meant Deku wasnât idolizing him as much
There is no such time for Izu/Ocha as solidly. As of right now, it really does just look like Ochako admires Dekuâs ability to be a hero and wants to do the same, and only bc she was TOLD thatâs what romance looks like - she assumed thatâs what it was. (Parallel to Toga)
And originally, I shipped bk/dk hardcore bc it was plain to me that they have a very intimate relationship - both parties willing to be at their most vulnerable with each other and all that. Also Deku just adores Bakugou even when he doesnât have to, it was hard to ignore.
But recently, Iâve been getting the feeling that even if Deku doesnât necessarily idolize Bakugou or put him on a pedestal - it just feels like Bakugou sees Deku more âhumanlyâ than the other way around?
Itâs not necessarily bad, but I really do wonder now what Dekuâs actual feelings about Bakugou are more than ever. He didnât expect Bakugou to follow him when he went of on his own, was shocked that Bakugou even thought to do so on his own
Has no idea or isnât really thinking about how Bakugou is trying to atone and it makes me wonder .... does Deku actually like care about Bakugou (or I guess the way he hurt him in the past) or does Katsukiâs inherent heroism just negate all past transgressions?
Itâs weird ... does his mind only perceive yeah bakugou has asshole tendencies but good hero so I forgive him or ... is it just that he has no expectations for Bakugou anymore
