To build may have to be the slow and laborious task of years. To destroy can be the thoughtless act of a single day. – Winston Churchill.
Tearing a house down is the easiest part of a rebuild, it is also the 1st step in a rebuilding process. https://twitter.com/SensibleUtd/status/1338714572996321281
The need for patience is even more pertinent when we understand that the process of tearing the house has been far from smooth. The club has so far struggled to offload a fair number of players who are not a part of the manager's plans.
They have also failed to land a number of priority targets.
Imagine if a builder tasked with a remodelling job was not provided with the right tools for a demolition process, as well as insufficient building materials.
If the builder somehow manages to stay on schedule with the set timeline, he'd be praised by outsiders watching from a distance.
This is where we are right now at the club, the manager has is on schedule despite having to work with one hand tied behind his back.
We are on schedule despite the board failing to hold up their end of the bargain. Rebuilding is a process and any worthwhile process takes time. There are clear signs of progress, we are not where we were this time. Rome wasn't built in a day.
