I failed to get here.

Takes a lot of failure to get where I am.

THREAD

I started with a tech blog.

From this I learned WordPress, hosting, some coding and how to gain traffic to a website.

eCommerce store

I tried my hand at an online store.

This allowed me to learn Shopify, auto responders, basic marketing, obtaining licenses, filing business taxes, shipping, charge backs, and setting up wholesale accounts.

Twitch streaming

From online streaming, I learned live video streaming, basic video editing, promotion, making basic logos, networking and tons of patience.

Flipping

Technically this was not a failure. I made a profit.

However I learned sales, Instagram promotion, eBay, finding deals, customer service, and running sales.

Photography

Photography was more for fun and I still do this.

I learned Photoshop, Lightroom, growing an Instagram following, and how to compose a photo.

Also this carried over from flipping. So, I learned product photography.

My current and last project.

Personal website

It started as a portfolio site and then morphed.

I've learned writing, coding, copy writing, newsletters, marketing, networking, and branding.

Previous failures have added a ton to this final project.

Here's the takeaway.

Previous failures are knowledge

The project may be gone but the knowledge is always there.
